Travel Trade cricket sixes today

Twelve teams will participate in the Travel Trade Sports Club Annual Men’s Hardball Cricket Sixes 2009 to be held on (Sunday) October 11, at the MCA grounds commencing 8.30 am.
The teams: SriLankan Airlines (defending champions), Cinnamon Lake (former Trans Asia, 2008 runners-up), Cinnamon Grand ‘A’ and ‘B’, Hilton Colombo ‘A’ and ‘B’, Aitken Spence Travels, Classic Travels, Ceylon Tours, combined team from Emirates and Traveller Global, Hotel Serendib Bentota and Taj Samudra Hotel.
The tournament will be conducted on a knockout format consisting 11 matches including the final.
The special awards on offer will be for the best batsman, bowler, most sixes, man of the final and man of the tournament.
This will be the 3rd event in the TTSC sports calendar, having already completed the bowling and the softball cricket sixes. (LW)
