Sri Lankan High Commissioner for Australia Senaka Walgampaya says that he is still finding facts over the Sri Lankan asylum seekers believed to have drowned in the Indian Ocean while illegally travelling towards Australia.
When contacted Sri Lankan High Commissioner said there was no conformation over the deaths of local men in the scene, but he is still searching for complete details.
However several international media today reported that two teenage boys aged 13 and 14 were among the missing Sri Lankans feared dead after a boat carrying suspected asylum-seekers capsized near the Cocos Island. (Colombopage)
