Browns, LOLC groups own 10% each of Seylan Bank

LOLC Group and Browns Group are now separately owning nearly 10% each in state-managed and part-owned Seylan Bank.
LOLC Group investment is through a 100% owned subsidiary Lanka ORIX Information Technology whilst Brown’s vehicle is Browns Plantation Investments Ltd. Both companies own 12.4 million shares or around 9.55% each in Seylan.
LOLC owns 2.37% stake in Brown and Company whilst the two main companies share several common directors who though act in non-executive capacity also own shares.
State owned Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation and Bank of Ceylon collectively own 25% stake in Seylan. NSB owns around 3.5% stake as well.
