Acid test for youngsters

The one-day tri-series in Dhaka, Bangladesh from January 3-14 which also features India will be an acid test to some of the players picked to represent Sri Lanka in the 15-member squad.
With injuries and poor form affecting team performances in the recently concluded five-match one-day international series in India where Sri Lanka lost 3-1 (1 no- result) national selectors have made radical changes to the team to Bangladesh.
From the ODI team that was selected to India, batsmen Sanath Jayasuriya, Chamara Kapugedera and bowlers Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis have been dropped while batsmen Mahela Jayawardene, all rounder Angelo Mathews and bowlers Muthiah Muralitharan and Dilhara Fernando were not considered for selection due to injuries.
