Pakistan closes in on win

SYDNEY: Shane Watson missed out on another century as Australia slumped again in the second Test against Pakistan at the SCG on Tuesday.

Watson helped Australia get off to an ideal start to their second innings but he fell for 97 - the eighth time he has failed to convert a half-century in to three figures - as Pakistan’s bowlers once again dominated.
Having been 105-0 at one stage, Australia eventually finished day three on 286-8 for a lead of just 80.
Things had started so well for the hosts as they quickly picked up the final Pakistan wicket, with Doug Bollinger removing Danish Kaneria.
