New TRC-DG to hold crucial meeting on interconnection

Newly appointed Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), Anusha Palpita, said that the Commission is to expedite the stalled interconnection regime and in a bid to do so, will meet all operators at a crucial meeting next week.

Cooray joins HNB

Ms Rose Cooray, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka joins the board of Hatton National Bank PLC

The board of Hatton National Bank PLC has appointed Rose Cooray as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from February 15, according to a press release issued by the Bank.
Ms Cooray had a distinguished career of over 35 years with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Finance and served as the secretary to the Monetary Board of Sri Lanka prior to her retirement in May 2009.
