Tougher challenges ahead for Telcos with MNP

Sri Lanka’s telecommunication watchdog TRCSL (Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka) will be implementing the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) process probably after 2012. MNP can be expressed in simple terms as a process which allows the subscriber of an existing network to switch to another network while retaining the same mobile number.
